Day 325: Acts 22-23
The reading for Year of the Bible, Day 325, is Acts 22-23: Paul addresses an angry mob and tells of his conversion experience. Then he addresses the Sanhedrin. He has to escape both of them and is sent to Caesarea.
Day 324: Acts 20-21
The reading for Year of the Bible, Day 324, is Acts 20-21: We’ve all been there: someone falls asleep while Paul is preaching. Later he travels to Jerusalem, where he is arrested (as expected).
Day 323: Acts 18-19
The reading for Year of the Bible, Day 323, is Acts 18-19: Back to Antioch, before leaving again for the third missionary journey. He lands in Ephesus, where he causes a riot.
Day 322: Acts 16-17
The reading for Year of the Bible, Day 322, is Acts 16-17: Saul sets out on the second missionary journey, accompanied by Silas and Timothy, then goes alone to Mars Hill in Athens to deliver a famous sermon.
Day 321: Acts 14-15
The reading for Year of the Bible, Day 321, is Acts 14-15: Saul and Barnabas continue their travels, then everyone gathers in Jerusalem to discuss the need for circumcision among the gentiles. A very cutting debate.
Day 320: Acts 12-13
The reading for Year of the Bible, Day 320, is Acts 12-13: Peter is jailed, then freed by an angel. Herod Agrippa is killed by an angel, presumably a different one. Saul and Barnabas leave Antioch for the first missionary journey.
Day 319: Acts 10-11
The reading for Year of the Bible, Day 319, is Acts 10-11: Welcoming gentiles: Peter has to be convinced, then he has to convince the others. Meanwhile Saul and Barnabas preach in Antioch.
Day 318: Acts 8-9
The reading for Year of the Bible, Day 318, is Acts 8-9: After Stephen’s death, believers flee, still preaching the gospel. Philip baptizes an Ethiopian eunuch. Saul, persecutor of the church, has an encounter with Jesus.
Day 317: Acts 6-7
The reading for Year of the Bible, Day 317, is Acts 6-7: The going gets tougher: Stephen is arrested and tried, found guilty, and stoned to death, becoming the first martyr of the fledgling Jesus movement. A man named Saul is present.
