Led by Sarah Farnsworth and David Ney, our youth group is a valuable place for the teenagers (grades 6-12) at St. George's to hang out together in a Christian environment. They meet every other Wednesday night during the school year, in addition to extra, special events. An example of some of these gatherings would be: paintballing trips, lock-ins, trips to the movies and regular meetings at the church. A "regular" meeting for the youth group usually consists of games, discussion, and prayer. Every summer, the youth also take a trip, alternating between mission and team building every other year.

It is also a valuable way for the teenagers of St. George's to give back to the congregation, and to the needy of the world. The youth group has made multiple trips to Philadelphia to spend time with the homeless population there. When one of our parish staff member's ran into some transportation problems, the youth rallied and raised over a $1000 to help with repairs.
All in all, the youth at St. George's are continually learning and growing together in Christ. We are proud to be a part of a Church that supports and values its youth. If you have any questions regarding St. George's Youth Group, please feel free to contact any of the adult leaders mentioned above.
St. George's mission is to share together God's work in our lives through liturgy and sacrament, through joyous and caring fellowship, and through courageous and compassionate engagement with the world.
